Gantry crane installation plan

Gantry crane installation Construction site survey

Work Space: Verify with the lifting company’s operators that there is sufficient space at the construction site for lifting operations. Preliminarily determine the lifting plan based on the tonnage and span of the crane, and check and record the layout of the main lifting equipment, required overhead height, column spacing, diagonal length and other data according to the preliminary plan. Two columns.

Check the “dual-use first level”: Focus on checking whether the power supply, power lines, circuit breakers, safety devices, etc. meet the requirements for installation, trial operation, testing and safe electricity use.

Special items: Check whether there are flammable, explosive, toxic, harmful, unknown piles, corrosive substances, etc. on site.

Check user-supplied tools and materials: Since crane erection tools are often heavy, it is intended to utilize the customer’s resources to reduce transportation costs.

Gantry crane installation Preparation before construction:

Preliminary inspection of track foundation beams: Measure the straightness and levelness of foundation beams and embedded bolts every day.

Based on the investigation results, provide a written report and prepare the necessary working conditions and safety measures for the gantry crane installation site within the specified period.

Prepare necessary equipment: Such as gas cutting and welding equipment.

Prepare necessary tools: Such as electrical tools, hardware tools, bamboo ladders, etc.

Prepare the required technical documents: Quality record card, acceptance standards and forms, and start of work notice.

Prepare personal protective and safety equipment: such as helmets, seat belts, etc.

Prepare the required raw materials and standard parts: such as rails, welding rods, paint, lifting tools, ropes, etc.

Entering the Gantry crane installation construction site:

First check and confirm the site conditions and safety measures required for installation, and then require the user to issue a written notice allowing the start of construction.

Together with the user and manufacturer (if not manufactured by us): ** Together check the quantity, quality, shipping and accompanying documentation of all parts arriving on site and sign the acceptance form. Parts that are defective or exceed the allowable tolerance due to improper handling and storage should be adjusted and repaired according to technical requirements before entering the next stage.

Set up the power, equipment and power tools and lighting required for the installation.

Usually, a 50T mobile crane is used to lift the two lower beams (ground beams) to the load-bearing track surface. Wooden blocks are used on both sides to stabilize the base, and wedge-shaped materials prevent the wheels from sliding. A 50-ton mobile crane is used to connect the four outriggers to the lower beam with bolts, and each outrigger is fixed to the ground anchor with two wire ropes. Two 100-ton mobile cranes complete the frame assembly of the main beam on the ground, and The interconnected main beams are hoisted into the air and connected to the outriggers. Finally, a 50T mobile crane is used to hoist the arch beam, connect and fix it with the main beam, and then hoist it onto the crane trolley.

Gantry crane installation Lifting precautions:

Strictly follow the planned hoisting plan.

Designate a dedicated person to be responsible for lifting command, execution, and inspection, with clear responsibilities and unified leadership.

Before formal hoisting, a trial hoisting should be carried out to closely monitor the stability and braking performance of the lifting equipment and tools, the integrity of the knots of steel wires and rigging, and the connection and fixation conditions.

Choose appropriate lifting points and auxiliary structures to ensure that the additional load during lifting does not exceed the crane’s design lifting load.

Ensure correct positioning and correct aerial connections of all crane components, especially ensuring connectors are safe and effective and comply with lifting specifications.

Save records during the hoisting process and deal with any unexpected situations in a timely manner.
